An aromatherapy bath is a beautiful way to restore balance

Aromatherapy Bathing is something that even Hippocrates states “ An aromatic bath and massage daily is the way to health “

Having a bathing ritual in my life has allowed me a tool to de-stress and reduce overwhelm for when things go a little crazy. A bath is where I turn to if feeling emotional, body feeling out of whack or need some space to just ‘be’. The bath is my sanctuary, a place where I can download my day and upload ideas, plans and beautiful thoughts to rejuvenate my soul, uplift my mind and nourish my body. It is the place I get closer to my essence and let go and process my day.

It is here I feel like a ‘goddess’ a ‘queen’, a captain of my ship. I create a bath that suits my mood using the following tools:

  • Essential Oils
  • Jojoba Oil/ cold pressed plant oil
  • Magnesium Flakes
  • Bottle of water
  • Candles

My bathing ritual usually goes something like this. Firstly I add 2 cups of Magnesium flakes to the running water. Then I light my candles saying an affirmation or adding an intention-  e.g. “this bath will bring me peace and happiness and restore my health”. Then I undress and moisturise my body with *Jojoba Oil. Then I immerse myself in the full bath.

*in winter I warm this up gently

Bonus Tip:  If you are having trouble sleeping, massage from neck downwards to your feet.

I have a wonderful Aromatherapy Bath recipe for you that I adore

Gorgeous  Goddess

  • 4 drops Rose Otto
  • 4 drops Orange
  • 3 drops Sandalwood
  • 2 drops Geranium

Let the aromatic vapours embrace your being and softly create a haven for you.  This is a luxurious exquisite blend that creates a mood for self love, joy, strength and balance. Wonderful for aching muscles, feeling irritable or need some nurturing and de-stressing. Soak in the bath for 20 minutes  up to 1 hour and sip on your chilled water whilst watching the flicker of your candles as it brings you to focus gently and release your day.

After the bath, pat yourself gently with a towel, moisturise your body with an aromatic blend and then it’s time for a restful, rejuvenating sleep.

Feel the stress melt away and remove layers that reveal the Essence Of You.
